I've just come back from a reception in the salle polyvalente, where the

mayor, Yves Perez, extended a special welcome to all newcomers to the commune.

Lots of us foreigners, but also French people who have moved here, including

families who have moved into new houses and who will enliven the community by

working here and sending their children to the schools.

The primroses in the photograph are a present from the commune, to me as a

newcomer. Everyone else had a similar present. But I'm so glad that I was

given yellow primroses! Instead of multi-coloured prima vera!

I love living here in France!
