Pines at the end of my garden

Pines at the end of my garden, originally uploaded by Rhian vK.

They don't take any light, but their water intake dries out much of my
garden.
Should I have them felled? They're only 25m from the house, and they're
exceedingly tall.
I'm beginning to think yes, I should get rid of them.
