Onwards and upwards!

A French novel that I'm reading.
It's so easy to read French novels, even without a dictionary, and
little by little I think, maybe, French idiom is seeping its way into my
consciousness.
La dictionnaire ... only for the times I remember there's a word, maybe
used frequently, and which I can't fathom.
Here's hoping ...
