I said it was windy on Sunday, didn't I?

The 'Pont Aven', one of the Brittany Ferries fleet, was on its way to

Santander in Spain, but was battered by a 15m wave.

It broke windows on the 'pont-promenade', flooded some cabins, and a few

people were injured.

The boat was diverted to moor at Roscoff.

Some passengers said 'Never again!'

Others said it was a fluke, and felt confident about travelling with

Brittany Ferries on the future.

But I think many people were scared at the time.

This is my name for this paint colour which is used so frequently around the

coast.

And always so perfect!

Inland more subtle colours are called for, I feel.

And you rarely see this colour inland, so perhaps everyone is 'd'accord'!

We saw surfers here.
It was a rough and windy day.

The waves are coming from the North, from the Channel.

Maybe that's unusual, and the best surfing beaches are to the West, on the Atlantic coast. Perhaps it's not always so challenging here.

And I've been to la déchetterie (the tip) three times today!

No, there weren't three carloads of rubbish and recycling matter in the

garage; I've been clearing out some of the other buildings as well.
